Methods
The working branches have to return to one center.
Signalane methods connect governance, agents, agentic AI, and guardrails into one human-anchored operating discipline.
The point is not to produce a prettier process diagram. The point is to keep judgment, evidence, correction, and responsibility visible while AI-supported work moves quickly.
This page describes part of the Signalane method. It is published for reading and reference, not for unauthorized commercial reuse, model training, repackaging, or implementation as a competing product or service.
Mini thesis
A method is useful only if it changes what happens when the work becomes unclear.
Signalane methods are built for the moment when a handoff is stale, a model sounds confident, an agent has too much scope, or a human decision has moved. The method must make the next right action easier to find.
01 The Human Anchor Must Stay Present
The anchor is not a file, policy, or static instruction. The anchor is the person who holds purpose, judgment, context, responsibility, and current truth.
02 Current Instruction Beats Stale Scope
Local files help orient the work. They do not overrule current human instruction when context has changed.
03 Lanes Are Workspaces, Not Cages
A lane defines where work is happening and what proof must return. It should hold the work without freezing the system.
04 Handoffs Are Operational Bridges
A handoff must carry enough truth for another person, agent, or future session to continue without recreating confusion.
05 Evidence Beats Fluent Confidence
The more confident the output sounds, the more important it is to know what supports it.
06 Parallel Work Needs A Shared Return Point
Multi-lane work is possible when every lane can return to live purpose, current truth, decision point, and human anchor.
07 Review Is Part Of The Work
Review is not a punishment at the end. It is a structural part of responsible AI-supported delivery.
Agent instructions
A permission list is not a working relationship.
A useful agent file should do more than list permissions and prohibitions. It should anchor the work to the human owner, define current truth, describe the collaboration standard, and explain how evidence and handoffs must return.
Prevents obvious misuse, but cannot carry judgment, purpose, or recovery logic by itself.
Names the human return point, decision rhythm, current-truth rule, and evidence standard.
Turns local instructions into a working agreement for correction, handoff, review, and drift recovery.
Workflow
Clarity makes the work faster because it removes hidden decisions.
A vague request like "make this better" becomes a governed lane by naming what is being improved, who it is for, what must not change, what evidence is needed, and what counts as done. The point is not bureaucracy. The point is to keep judgment visible while the work moves quickly.
